Basic Computer (Mouse and Keyboard Skills) Overview: You will learn about computer terminology, hardware, software, components of a computer, start-up and shutdown process, customize the mouse and keyboard. Learn how to use keyboard shortcuts, single click, double-click, drag & drop, and how to select text and pictures. Learn what to look for when buying a computer. Prerequisite:None.

Computer Keyboarding - Touch Typing Overview: This course introduces the computer novice to Touch Typing on the computer keyboard - learning the alphabets, numbers, and special keys with emphasis on improving the student's speed and accuracy. Learn terminology, correct hands, feet, and posture position, tips on how to prevent CTS, and customize the keyboard. Students are given individualized skill building exercises using computer-assisted instruction. Prerequisite:None.
