Word 2003 - Level 1
Overview: (Foundation for Learning Word Processing)This course will cover basic features and options in Microsoft Word. Students will learn menu bars, toolbars, help tools, and other features. Students will create, edit, format, add graphics, border, bullets, and alignment, spell check, save, preview and print a document. You will learn how to copy, cut, paste, delete, undo, format a picture, and use the keyboard and mouse to select text.
Prerequisite: Students should be familiar with using personal computers and have used a mouse and keyboard. Students should be comfortable in the Windows environment and be able to use Windows to manage information on their computer. Specifically, students should be able to launch and close programs; navigate to information stored on the computer; and manage files and folders.

Word 2003 - Level 2
Overview: (Concentrates on borders, shading, graphics, text as art, and columns) Word can be used to create letters, memos and sophisticated publishing documents. Students will learn to create a professional looking document with text, text objects, WordArt, graphics, shading, borders, special effects, columns, customized bullets, drawings, and callouts. You will learn how to use page setup, copy and paste, find and replace, and tips on using spell check and grammar features.
Prerequisite:Students should be familiar with Word Level 1.
