Computer Robotics Workshops
Robotics Workshops offers a hands-on project-based learning approach to teaching science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) concepts in a fun and engaging way. LEGO MINDSTORMS helps prepare future generations of engineers and scientists as well as lifelong learners. The workshop is designed to help new and returning team members who want to compete in robotics competitions.
The topics covered include:
- Programming mobile robots
- Applying measurement and geometry to calculate robot navigation
- Interpreting sensor feedback/calculating threshold values/understanding conditional statements, and etc.
- NXT Operation Basics
- The Move block
- The Motor block
- Sensors (Touch, Ultrasonic, Light, and Sound)
- Loops and Switches
- Challenge Strategies
- Troubleshooting and debugging
- Quizzes are used to check students understanding of academic, technological, and applied mathematical concepts.
