Word 2010 - Level 1
Overview: (Foundation for Learning Word Processing) This course is for students who want to take control and improve their day-to-day computer skills in order to work more efficiently. Students will identify the components of the Word 2010 screen, backstage view, ribbon, and quick access toolbar. You will create, edit, save, preview and print a document. Students will learn how to use simple editing techniques (copy, move, format, delete text, add graphics, clipboard, text alignment, tabs, and etc.). You will also learn how to change Word 2010 default settings and use spell check and grammar tools.
Prerequisite: Students should be familiar with using personal computers and have used a mouse and keyboard. Students should be comfortable in the Windows environment and be able to use Windows to manage information on their computer. Specifically, students should be able to launch and close programs; navigate to information stored on the computer; and manage files and folders.

Word 2010 - Level 2
Overview: Concentrates on borders, shading, graphics, text as art, and columns) This course is for students who have a basic knowledge of Microsoft Word 2010 and wants to learn more. Students will discover how to create professional looking documents without within minutes. Use templates to automate certain types of documents. Also how to use borders and shadings, add bullets and documents themes, find and replace text, format graphics, use Format painter, apply WordArt and create text boxes, add custom headers and footers and manipulate page setup and page layout functions to customize the look of the document.
Prerequisite: Students should be familiar with Word Level 1.
